Team Aerokit Nexen win at British Drift Championship
14 year old Jack Shanahan finishes in 1st place at the season opener of the British Drift Championship.

With the season only just getting started Team Aerokit Nexen have already collected their first piece of silverware. Jack Shanahan's debut in British Drifting has firmly cemented his place in British Motorsport history by becoming the youngest ever competitor in the BDC and debuting with a win. Out of over 40 teams and 90 drivers Team Aerokit Nexen's Jack Shanahan beat of the competition and finished in 1st place.

He faced tough competition and had to beat a host of big names to claim a well deserved victory. Qualifying at 6th position his first battle was against Phil Morrison of Driftworks in his newly built AE86. Next up was Dan Chapman of Team CMR in the top 8 battles and then 2013 champion Michael Marshall of Team MNM in the semi final. After overcoming all three he made it all the way to the final and would be up against fellow Irishman Shane O'Sullivan of Team Japspeed. A very tight battle but Jack managed to keep his cool and take the win after a one more time battle.
